Looking For A Fly Screen?
DIY fly screens for both doors and windows, cut to fit the opening you actually have.
The problem with off-the-shelf fly screens
They are made for a standard opening, and openings are rarely standard. In an older Portuguese house no two windows match. Every screen here is cut down with a blade or strong scissors, so it fits the window in front of you rather than the one on the box.
Windows and doors are different jobs
A window screen sits still and needs to seal. A door screen gets walked through twenty times a day and has to close itself, which is why the door version runs up to 40 magnets down the full height of the seam rather than a handful of spaced ones.
Nothing gets drilled
Magnetic strip or hook-and-loop tape goes on the frame face. Both hold for years and both lift away without taking the finish with them, which is what makes these work in a rented flat.
Not sure, or your opening is an odd size?
Tell us the width and height of the frame opening and we will come back with a price. There is no charge and no obligation, and if a standard size would do the job we will say so.
